Marvel Cinematic Universe
Marvel Cinematic Universe is a form of Marvel movies set in a shared universe. My first Marvel movie of all time was Spider-Man. Afterwards was X-Men (before Marvel sold the rights to Fox), Deadpool and Wolverine referenced this in the movie. I also seen Blade, Fantastic Four and many more Marvel movies. In 2008, MCU was introduced with Iron Man in 2008. Iron Man (2008) movie jumpstarted cinematic universe with Robert Downey Jr amazing portrayal of Tony Stark. Afterwards was Incredible Hulk (not portrayed by Mark Ruffalo) but Edward Norton and it was not a bad movie. Later, Tim Roth reprised his role in She Hulk Attorney at Law as Emil Blonsky. Tim Blake Nelson will come back as “The Leader” in Captain America Brave New World. It’s been a while since I saw that movie. Thor (2011) and Chris Hemsworth and Todd Hiddleston did amazing job.

Then lastly, in phase 1 Captain America the First Avenger (2011) was born. We take a deep dive with the leader of the Captain America with Chris Evans portraying him. Phase 1 has ended with a bang with Avengers (2012). This introduces new heroes Black Widow and Hawkeye joining the fight against Loki. Phase two has sequels to Thor, Captain America and Iron Man which was not bad at all. This phase introduces as to Ant Man and Guardians of the Galaxy (which is my superhero group favorite time). Next Avenger movie was Age of Ultron which introduce Quicksilver, Vision and Scarlet Witch (now with her own show WandaVision). Phase 3 finally has Spider-Man on board in Homecoming (2017). These phases introduce Dr Strange (which I love Benedict Cumberbatch portrayal) along Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
MCU Going Strong
Especially Black Panther for people of color like himself. You don’t see a lot of African American movies get a huge budget and all thanks to Kevin Feige for hiring Ryan Cooler. Everyone and their grandparents dressed in African attire and there was backlash on social media on that. Captain Marvel didn’t do so well and weakest in phase 3. Later, Brie Lason comes back in phase 5 in “The Marvels”. Wrapping up phase 3 was the grand day of all Avengers Infinity War. It was a two-part movie and one of the best superhero crossover movies I ever seen. Thanos was a force to be recking with along with his children. Every superhero came together to take on a bigger threat and some vanish within a snap of a finger. After Thanos defeated, here comes the Multiverse Saga and that’s went MCU started to fall.

Phase 4-6 was kind of a seesaw went it comes to building up for next movie. Black Widow and Shang Chi was not bad movies at all. Eternals was mundane and I felt fall the movie after couple seconds. Thor Love and Thunder was another weak movie because overused humor from last movies. Spider-Man Far From Home was my favorite movie because they connected Toby Macquire and Andrew Garfield movie universe with Tom Holland along with villains. It was great to see them and all things went Multiverse of Madness movie came. Now we know different universe is connected and Wakanda Forever is sad because Chadwack Boseman passing and Shuri (Letita Wright) tires to make peace with Namor (Tenoch Huerta).
Marvel Cinematic Universe Turning Point
In the beginning of phase 5, Ant Man and Wasp Quantumania started off kind of rough. I love Jonthan Majors portrayal of Kang the Conqueror but due to allegations, he was fired from Marvel. The movie flop at the box office but Guardians Vol 3 lift this phase up. James Gunn was back directing the movie before moving to DC Comics. We learn about Rocket and High Evolutionary was a over the top villain. The phase went down with The Marvels, and I am not going to say much about film. Deadpool and Wolverine saved the MCU, Ryan Reynolds portrayal of the 4th wall merc with the mouth. It was great to see Gambit (Channing Tatum), Blade (Wesley Snipes), Electra (Jennifer Garner) and X-23 (Dafine Keen) in the movie. Cassadara Nova was a dangerous villain and Emma Corrin did amazing job.

There is tv shows that connected to MCU, I have watched Agatha All the Long, Loki and What If. Those three are the best MCU tv shows I ever seen. Secret Invasion was the worst and should be a movie instead mini-series. Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, The Falcon and Winter Soldier was decent. There will more tv shows like Ironheart, Wonderman and a new Daredevil Born again show. I know Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jesscia Jones and Iron Fist were on Netflix. They might come to MCU in the future. I know MCU had their rise and falls throughout the years. Some people lose faith in MCU and I know Kevin Feige is going to turn it around.
Closing
Although I miss Stan Lee and his cameos in these movies. I love Marvel more than DC any day, but I am continuing to watch Marvel shows. Whether animated or live action, I will give it chance. I haven’t forgotten those after credits that gives me hyped next film or episode. What are your thoughts on current or past MCU? Let me know in the comments and thanks for reading this article.
