Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir Season 6
Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat season 6 is a animated television series developed by Thomas Astruc and produced by Jeremy Zag from Zagtoon. The plot of the series is about a teenage girl named Marinette Dupain-Chang, whose one of the protagonists of show. Fight akumatized villains and save Paris. Martinette is not alone, a famous model Adrien Agreste joins Marinette in the fight. Martinette has an alter ego superhero identity of Ladybug, who uses a yo-yo and purifies akumas that affect civilians of Paris. Adrien is Cat Noir, who has the power of destruction and uses staff. Ladybug and Cat Noir don’t know each other’s secret identity yet because of a rule. There is a love connection recurrency in the show like Marinette falls in love with Adrien.
Adrien loves Ladybug but doesn’t know it Marinette under the mask. Throughout past seasons of Miraculous Ladybug, Marinette is trying to get Adrien to be her boyfriend, this causes her to get people akumatized because of her mishaps. Adrien is unaware of Marinette’s advances. In the episode “Revelator”, Marinette and Adrien confronts Vincent Aza on his podcast. Marinette recounts the events of season 1 “Stormy Weather”, the umbrella scene with her and Adrien. That’s how Adrenette started, and episode 11 Revelator symbolizes because social media views them. Anywho, season 6 is after the defeat of Gabriel Agreste (Hawk Moth and Monarch) in season 5. Gabriel sacrifices himself to save Natalie and reunite with his wife Emille.
Aftermath of S6
Even if Butterfly Miraculous is lost to Lila Rossi (who is the main antagonist of season 6), it also has a new supervillain identity yet to be revealed. Marinette has to hide a huge secret from Adrien about Gabriel’s death and being Monarch. Adrien is still down about not having Gabriel around but is in care of Natalie. During, “Werepapas” episode Gabriel and Emile’s grandparents came to visit to get custody of Adrien. Lady Milly Graham de Vanily gets akumatized to Ringmaster along with Lord Emil and Johnny Grasette into boxing wolves. After their defeat, Adrien wanted to stay Nataile. In “Climatiqueen”, Adrien doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life, but Marinette helps him. Even though Marinette and Adrien are officially a couple now, she is still acting like a stalker and usually post-season behavior.
For example, episode 2 Sublimation went Adrien starts running with a new character named Sublime Bartlett (who has prosthetic legs and a para-athlete). Marinette tries to become her friend but gets her mother Caroline akumatized. After Sublimation’s defeat, Martinette’s apologize for her action and befriends Sublime. Still, Marinette has not learned about not getting people akumatized, but she is a child. She makes mistakes and can’t tell right or wrong. People around her like Alya, who confronts Marinette but hates liars because during battle in Revelator, Rena Rouge learns Ladybug secret. Although “Miraculous Ladybug” fixes thing but Cat Noir new power can “Miraculous Cat Noir” erase memories. Alya question to trust Marinette again after keeping a secret from her.
Miraculous Tales of Ladybug Theories
Not even all episodes of season 6 are released yet but also out of order as well. I have watched some episodes of S6, there are some theories and what I am hoping to happen. In S6, I hope we get more character episode like Sabrina with “Daddycop”. There was character development of Sabrina because Chloe Bourgeois was her only friend and bullies Marinette. Sabrina adopts the superhero ego named “Miss Hound” and becomes Marinette’s friend after episode ends. We might see an episode with Ivan, Marc and Juleka in the near future. I know Kagami is getting an episode involving her mother Tomoe (one of main antagonists of season 6 as well). There will probably be filter episodes like “The Illustrhater”. I am curious about the rest of the upcoming episodes like “Wreckless Diver”and “Lady Chaos”. The way that these episodes are coming will be a long-time airing.
I like Lila giving villain names and a MCU style after episode teaser. Digging the new animation style which is 10 times better than previous seasons. Giving them a vibrant and flesh out expression, I am guessing using the same animation for Ladybug & Cat Noir the Movie (2023). Haven’t forgotten the English voice cast for season 6 and past. Christina Vee and Byrce Papenbrook are doing amazing job as ever. There might be others who will join soon as season 6 later on. Miraculous Ladybug season 6 is a step in the right direction and has representation as well. You might see more LGBTQ couple like Rose and Juleka. These fans like their ships, don’t you agree. More action and suspense as well because after end cards before credits. Now, Miraculers can be called to assist Cat Noir and Ladybug at any time.
Closing
Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir season 6 are still ongoing and I understand people want to go back to old animation because they’re not used to it. Even Thomas says that the old version of Maya doesn’t work or something like that. So, they have to update their character models and etc. Character designs may not sit well with people ever.
