Oppaicon 2026 – First Adult Anime Convention in DMV Area
What is Oppaicon?
Oppaicon is an adult anime convention developed by Kenneth from Paragon-Unity and the first 18+ anime convention in the DMV area. The location is in 6400 Oxon Hill RD, Maryland at Harborside Hotel. While this was a one-day event, during cosplay contest, Kenneth announced year 2 of Oppaicon will be in August 2027 for two-days. Oppaicon has typical artist alley and dealer room. A gameroom (shout out to Aim Hit Go), panels, life drawing and special events like Burlesque along with pole dance (which you have to purchase a separated ticket for. Anyways, Oppai (means breast in Japanese), if you don’t know the term is.
Oppaicon is not the only adult anime convention, there is Tsumicon, Ecchi Festa, Waifucon along with CreatorsAfterDark, They have partners and sponsors such as Fakku, Heaven Studios, Sticker App and more. Oppaicon has a Breast Cancer Awareness charity that customers can donate while purchase a ticket (badge) online or at offline. There were guest like Oppai Princess, Skate_Moorales, Megami.Cosplay, Tranquil Ashes and Yugokuu (make sure you follow them). Note: Thank you Lovebug Voices for following me on Twitter (X). I forgot to mention there was a maid cafe and many more in Oppaicon.
There are rules to follow as well like no menu if you’re not a vendor or approved by them Check out the policies on the website. Alright, my impressions of Oppaicon 2026, for someone who is a main of great culture and fan of anime with fanservice (ecchi) like High School DxD along with Queen’s Blade. Oppaicon is wrong up my alley. Thank god for Lyft because I will have a hard time getting to Oxon Hill Maryland. Speaking of Lyft, it cost me $80.39 to get home and at Harborside Hotel. While I brought Sardi’s Peruvian Chicken with white and two sides green beans along with fries. (image below).
Verdict
Also, I have brought two Japanese Chrono Trigger and Street Fighter II for Super Famicom (Super Nintendo), it was so nostalgia. While I was at Gameroom, I saw Nintendo 64 Japanese cartridges and was about to get them from vendor. During my time at the con, I played Avatar The Fighting Game for the first time and it wasn’t bad at all. They also had Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, Tekken 8, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Demon Slayer Himokami Chronicles 2 and NES Classic. How can I forgot they had Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart 8 and Waifu Impact which is a third-person shooter where protagonist uses a water gun to defeat enemies. Shoutout to indie studio Halftilt who createde Light Space Love and had fun playing it. Make sure to check them out if you get a chance.
I took pictures of some cosplayers as well and they had a 360 photobooth which I forgot to try. Security was cool and keeping thing in order to have a smooth convention. Everyone was friendly and having amazing time especially one of the panel that I went to. I would have this 8/10 and see room to improvement in the near future. Bring in some voice actors, have a twerk contest that would be suggestion for an event. Also, have a venue closer to the metro and bigger space for exhibit hall. It was a mess and hard to navigate also, have more ticket for special events along with registration.
Bar none I was happy to have 18+ anime convention in my city instead of traveling to Texas and Alabama. Flying a plane is very expensive to travel to another state. Sadly, I had to go home because there was no special ticket Galactic Pole Dancing , Celestial Burlesque Show along with Nebula After Party. Some people didn’t show up like but I went to a Grow Your Social Media Presence with Jessicatalystic and MuscleMommyCosplays (I didn’t see them). Afterwards, I want to Sexy Art Fight which artist battle to see who is the best. I remember hearing about it at Otakon and AwesomeCon but this is the first time seen it.
Closing
Also, at Harborside Hotel have a Golf Faculty across the hotel. Anyways, I am a oppai lover which was in keytag went getting my badge. I had to stand in line but it went fast. Oppaicon did expect 800 people for a small convention but hopefully become huge. Visit the website and follow Paragon-Unity on social media for updates for next year. What is your thoughts on Oppaicon and have you gone? Let me know in the comments and thank you for reading this blogpost. Tune into more post from yours truly.
