Why Small Streamer Fail
Let me tell you that I am a small streamer myself. I am not going to tell you that itsn’t easy to grow a audience. It takes alot of work and determination to put yourself out internet world. You all see successful streamers like Amouranth, Kai Cenat, Ishowspeed and along with many others. As an small streamer, you want to be same level as them. Sorry to break it to you, itsn’t simple on what you think. These streamers put years of work, while going to school or having a full time job. They network with the right people and was apart of their community. For example, being in a Discord server, interaction on social media and just being in their chat. If you want to stream to get out 9 to 5 job then don’t. You will fail quickly because ad revenue is not granteed to fund your lifestyle.
Of course, you want the best equipment out there to make your stream look pretty. But you have to get income in order to achieve that. Some small streamers I know work 9 to 5 and don’t like it. They stream to escape outside world and I don’t blame them. Us small streamers are very entertaining like larger streamers without chaotic chat. When you come to their Twitch chat, that streamer welcomes viewers with open arms. But there are some bad actors who intended to ruin streaming platforms, with any forms of hate. That’s why Twitch Adpoclypse comes in, us small streamers is feeling the burn from it. We may not earn much but some wants to pursue it full time. Others wants to stream as a hobby and respect them for it.
Small Streamers Communities
When coming into a small streamer chat, it makes my day and cheers me up inside. You can talk to a streamer on the lastest game, food, tv shows and more. What about their sub-thon (congrats to Ironmouse for that)? Those streamers give back to their community as well such as Extra Life and many non profit organizations. I conmend them for helping those looking for a better tomorrow. What about your social media presences? I will talk about myself for a minute, my social media presences is not great what so ever. Especially on Twitter, Blue Sky and many other social media platform which I get little reach. There is small streamer that use Tik Tok get more followers than me and I felt discourage.
But I don’t want to compare myself with other success. One streamer says that “everyone journey is different” and that’s valid point. My journey is not like everyone else and I don’t want fast growth. I am still working on improving my content each and everyday. While I stream, I get 0-2 viewers but that didn’t stop me from keep going. Yes I don’t have a huge following and not good at every game I play. I still have fun regardly what anybody thinks of be on social media. Go ahead and make fun of my speech or how I look. I been having a thick skin and got used to bullying alot growing up. Realize that turning negativity into my strength always works. There are small communities who will welcome me in their chat.

Even if I am not have a following, I never give up on my goals. Its been 7+ years (video below) but still didn’t get Twitch Affiliate. I really don’t care for it but other do. They work hard to get number of followers, affiliate and community. I don’t doubt them one bit, they deserve every follow, bits and raids. I remember playing Genshin Impact and had a huge raid along with a donation. I was very happy and continue to stream because of amazing people. Again, there is some bad apples in the streaming world and get jealous because female streamers get more views. Who cares, be you and worry your own success in streaming industry.
I believe we as small streamers can do it like Shia Lebeouf playing “just do it“! Listen streaming is not for everyone and some people love their jobs. There was one streamer who quit to become a Chef at restaurant. The streaming world can be a good and bad thing, if you mentally prepare for it. Yes, I felt like giving up on streaming because I wasn’t seeing the results. Proud to say “I like being small right now and can’t handle the pressure of being full time right now”. Thanks you all for reading and catch me live on Twitch (can be view on this website as well). I hope you guys continue to support me through this journey.
