Stranger Things Season 5 Plot
Stranger Things season 5 is a science fiction TV show developed by The Duffer Brothers. The plot is about a group of individuals experiencing the supernatural and parallel world called “Upside Down”. Stranger Things is set in 1980s in a small town of Hawkins, Indiana. This group consist of Jane Hooper (Millie Bobby Brown), who goes by Eleven and has special powers such as telekinetic and later adopted by Jim Hopper (David Harbour). Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) who has physic connection with Upside Down after being kidnapped. Along with Will’s closest friends Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin Henderson (Caten Matarazoo) and Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) to stop Venca and destroy Upside Down (reference to Diana Ross song) for good. In Season 5, it continue event after season 4 went Venca open another gate in Hawkins.
Hawkins is overrun by Military led by Dr. Kay who wants Eleven. The group wanted to investigate Upside Down and wanted to stop Vecna. During early episodes, Will started to have visions of Upside Down and looking through Demogorgon eyes. Which worries Joyce Byers but Robin Buckley wanted Will to find Holly Wheeler using his powers. After Will giving Joyce a pep talk about wanting to be useful without worrying about him. Will deducted that Venca will abduct a boy named David Turnbow. Robin , Mike and Will learn about Henry Creel aka Mr. Whatsit. When Joyce and other group doing a rescue mission to save kids from Demogorgon. Will have visions kidnapped children getting their life-force drain in unknown location. Also, Will can sense Demos are coming to get the children. Do group split up, for example Mike, Joyce, Will and Lucas free all the children in Military Bunker.
Will’s Awakens
Robin and Murray Buckley load the kids in a truck. While, Dustin, Jonathan, Nancy and Steve are stuck in Upside Down. While Eleven and Jim goes to Military base to look for Venca but later on find someone else named Eight. Tthere plan failed to rescue to children after pipe leak. Will sense the Demogorgons arrive from Upside Down and started to kidnapping the children. Later on Venca arrives and confront Will about being apart of him. After Demogorgons successful taken the children, they return to finish off the group. Suddenly, Will unlock his newfound powers which is very similar to Eleven. Which Mike and Joyce was happy to see and Will defeat the remaining Demogorgons.I wanted to do this blogpost because Will is a prominent character in Stranger Things season 5. He does love Mike but he already has Eleven.
He did get capture in Upside Down but we didn’t know what happen during that time. Lucas, Mike and Dustin successfully got him out. After seeing Robin and kissing another woman, he probably want to express his feelings to Mike at one point. I am thinking about Will probably sacrifice himself or lose control of his power. Will probably team up with Eleven to defeat Venca in the finale. He will probably will loss his power after final season is over. I am just speculating on what is going to happen. Stranger Things got some 1980s references that kids who grew up in that time period. In some episode 37 “The Turnbow Trap”, Darek had Ghosts N Ghouls on NES along with arcade machine. I had played some Capcom game Ghouls N Ghosts and didn’t have a great experience playing it.
Thoughts on Stranger Things Season 5
In my opinion, I can see the references such as Kate Bush “Running that Hill” song which is Max’s favorite song. That Kate Bush song was viral and there is Neverending Story along with many more 80s goodies. Season 5 had a no problem with and speaking of Max, she is in Harry Creel mind called “Camazotz”, which is a reference to Madeleine L’Engle novel A Wrinkle In Time. There is two film adaptations both of them are aired on Disney. I love interaction with Eleven and Jim which father-daughter relationship. Derek was my favorite because of his banter. Dustin is still Hellfire Club shirt after Eddy Munson’s death in season 4. I can’t wait for happen next in Vol 2 and beyond. How Will can control has power or lead himself to death. The group is like a family and always stick together no matter what.
Stranger Things is available to watch on Netflix. Couple of things, I can see Stranger Things and Call of Duty tie-in but there is Fortnite along with Dead by Daylight. Sadly, this will be final season and I had a good time watching this series. I recommend this show for newcomers who love 80s nostalgia. After spending Christmas with my family, I might watch volume 2 or just until New Years. What are your thoughts on Stranger Things season 5?
