The Boondocks animated tv show was aired on November 6, 2005 on Adult Swim. Based on Aaron McGruder comic strip, the plot is about three protagonists, Grandad, Huey and Riley Freeman a black family living in Woodcrest. They deal with racial issues, social classes and viewpoint of the world. The show was very successful at the time. Every character was memorial in the show escially Uncle Rukus, who stole the show. Boondock lasted for 4 seasons and still remember to this day. This goes down as one of the best African American shows to date. Boondocks won alot of awards and listed top 24 animated series for adults.
I wanted a reboot of the show but sadly due to passingof John Witherspoon that probably won’t happen. This show is the reason I watch Adult Swim and love anime influence in that show as well.
