What are Waifu Games
Waifu games is another term for gal-games which features a cast of female characters. These female characters are created to suit men’s desires and have a fan club based on their preferences. Waifu is a person who falls in love with fictional character and consider their ideal significant other. This was originated as a loanword during Japan in 1980s but was resurface in 2000s. There was a scene in Azumanga Daioh went Mr. Kimura, which he use to describe his own spouse. I have some waifus in anime like Jabami Yumeko from Kakegurui, Anatasia Palma (Sakura Wars 2019) and I will leave it at that. Without further ado, I will list top 5 waifu games that guy are falling for.
5. Senran Kagura – Tamsoft
Senra Kagura is a hack n slash action game developed by Tamsoft and Marvelous Entetainment. The game is about a group of Kunoichi in different clans fighting against each other. Senran Kagura is very popular in Japan but not in stateside. It features a lot of fanservice along with beach spin off game. Senran Kagura characters makes an appearance in other games such as Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, Nitroplus Blasterz Heroine Infinite Duel and more. I almost about them having a pinball spinoff as well. Senran Kagura is a ideai game for waifus and have different types of female characters. You can buy any Senran Kagura game on Amazon. Check out the series, if you like ninjas.
4. Kandagawa Jet Girls – Honey Parade Games
Kandagawa Jet Girls is a water racing game developed by Honey Parade Games. The plot of the game is about Rin Namiki wants to become the best jet racer just like her mother. In this race, you will have to have a partner just like Misa Aoi. Misa Aoi got an agenda of her own and her bond with Rin grows stronger. Kandagawa Jet Girls is just like Senran Kagura, even have two characters as DLC. In gameplay, you can do trick, spray water on opponents and many more. There is story mode and online multiplayer as well. Well I can see this as a Yuri game and anime impiles that too. I would do a anime review but is on my Anjim 3.0 channel. If you are tired of hack n slash genre went I would buy Kandagawa Jet Girls on Amazon along with watching anime as well.
3. Goddess of Victory Nikki – Shift Up
Goddess of Victory Nikki is action role playing and third person shooter developed by Shift Up. Shift up also brought you Stellar Blade which was surprised to me. This game is a gacha game and have different class of characters with different skills. I haven’t play Nikke but seen cosplay and collaboration with Nier Automata, Chainsaw Man and Re Zero. Nikkie Goddess of Victory has banners like Genshin Impact. Players can bulit a team of characters to take to battle. There are items in the game to use as well. Investigation who is going on each mission. If Nikke comes to console, I might try it out. Feel free to download Goddess of Victory Nikkie.
2. DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation Prism – Team Ninja
Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation Prism is a dating sim developed by Team Ninja. This is the latest installment of DOA Venus Vacation franchise. Unlike last game, there are 5 characters and it’s a dating sim other than simulation. Team Ninja uses Katana Engine which is very similar to Unreal Engine. Players cab take photos and interact with the game. Unlock new outfits and many more. I felt this is a downgrade from pervious game. They might have more DLC characters but who knows that will happen. I don’t know there is any English text in the game but probaly. Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation Prism is available to preorder and released on March 27, 2025. Enjoy this Immersive Romantic Adventure as owner of an island, filled with beautiful girls.
1. Huniepop – HuniePot
Huniepop is a dating sim fuse with puzzle game developed by Huniepop. The plot of this game is a love fairy named Kyu that helps protagonist on a love quest. In the game, you interact with female characters by talking to them, giving them gifts and many more. Once you get close to them, players will get a special GC image (I can’t say the word). But if you play the game, you will know what I mean. All you have to do is get to know girl and go on dates. Puzzle inspect is not easy though. You can buy the game if you like along with Huniepop 2 Double Date and HunieCam Studio.

Those are my choices of waifu games but I have some honorable mentions like Valkyrie Drive, Patchiko Sexy Reaction and many more. Right now, I can’t remember all of the gal games.
