Top 5 Original Xbox Title I Wish I Played

Original Xbox

Original Xbox is created by Microsoft on November 15, 2001 and was sadly discontinued in 2006. Remembering getting OG Xbox for Christmas with Jet Set Radio Future along with other games. I actually own Kakuto Chojin Back Alley Brutal, which is a Tekken ripoff. I will do a top 5 or video game ripoff I have seen. Another game was Halo, Tom Clancy Splinter Cell and Bloodwake. Along with Kung-Fu Chaos and Capcom vs SNK 2 EO, which you press one button to do moves. I remember you can watch DVDs, listen to music and have Xbox Live (which I didn’t have growing up). I had some many memories with it and in this countdown. There are some games I have missed and wished to have played, but some came later. Anyways, lets started this countdown with this game.

5. Jade Empire – Bioware

Jade Empire is a role-playing game that developed by Bioware. Bioware brought you one of my favorite titles Mass Effect. The story is about last surviving spirit monk on a quest to save your tutor from dark forces. In game, you can face off against episodes and gain experience points for upgrades and techniques. I have seen this game in a magazine and its Bioware’s earlier title. I wish I have played this and hopefully come to modern consoles. Jade Empire has dialogue tree and moral alignments just like Paragon or Renegade in Mass Effect. You can choose male or female protagonist as well. 4. Whacked – Presto Studios

Whacked is a party game about different characters based on Seven Deadly Sins. The plot of the game sets in a game show and contestants have to face each other to win a prize. What prize you ask, well its whatever they desire. Whacked is developed by Presto Studio in October 15, 2002 before going out of business. Different characters play mini-games like king of the hill, dodgeball and many more. This game is very similar to Nintendo’s Mario Party but very adult especially Lust. Whacked is available now on Xbox and can be played on 360 due to backward compatibility.

3. Tao Fang Fist of the Lotus – Studio Gigante

Tao Fang Fist of the Lotus is a fighting game developed by Studio Gigante. Did you know that co-founder of Studio Gigante is John Tobias, who developed Mortal Kombat is involved. The plot of this game is a battle between two sects Pale Lotus and Black Mantis. Two sects battle over tablets to find the hidden treasure and immortality. I seen this game on demo magazine promo and was fascinated on the combat. In the game, you can break opponents body parts and each character have different movesets. In my opinion, it looks way better than Kakuto Chojin for sure and wished I had play this. Tao Feng Fist of the Lotus is available to buy on Amazon. If you want a good fighting game like Dead or Alive 3.

2. Max Payne (video game) – Remedy Entertainment

Max Payne is a third person shooter developed by Remedy Entetainment. The game plot is a former NYPD detective Max Payne, who attempts to solve the murder of his family. Max Payne has The Matrix style bullet-time and graphic panel voice overs. The story was written by Sam Lake is who heavily involved in this game. His likeness is in Max and later on help developed Alan Wake series. I have to play Alan Wake some day, but I am on a budget. Anyways, this game won a lot of rewards and got a lot of sequels along with a live action movie with Mark Wahlberg. I wish I got my hands on this game but its available on new generation console along with Xbox.

1. Ultimate Spider Man – Treyarch

Ultimate Spider Man is a open world action adventure game developed by Treyarch. This is based on Ultimate Spider-Man comic by Brian Micheal Bendis. Players choose between Spider-Man and Venom with complete storyline. Spider Man investigates Trask Industries and creation of Venom symbiote. I kind of miss this Spider Man game back in early 2000s but played other ones like PS1 games. I am not a huge fan of comic, but I wish this game out in new gen console. Although Marvel got the license and rights to Spider-man and probably won’t happen. Well Treyarch is working on Call of Duty franchise and probably not thinking about Marvel games right now. Ultimate Spider-Man is available to buy.

My Thoughts on Original Xbox

That’s all the original Xbox games I wished I played. There are honorable mentions like XIII, Teen Titans and Silent Hill.
