Homelander personality is a toxic, narcissist and the leader of “The Seven”. In final season of The Boys, Homelander wanted to become immortal and requires V1. He also has a son named Ryan, he resents him for after un-aliving Rebecca. He has some relationship with Firecracker, Stormfront and many more. Seaosn 5, Homelander stated that Solider Boy is his father and kept him is cryogenic state at Vought headquarter.
He makes a lot of enemies like The Deep who uses him for personal gain. Sister Sage who acts like right-hand person to Homelander but switches sides. Ashley Barrett who is afraid of him but later on impeached in final season ending. Homelander is a Supe, who want the whole world to grove to his feet. His personality is very bratty man-child mindset that he gets whatever by all means necessary. In final season. Homelander uses Old Father to get believers to worship him as god instead of Jesus. Everyone is his circle was tired of him and switches side to take him down.
Homelander powers is similar to Superman with flight, super strength and many more. Also, he rivals Oni-Man from Invincible, fun fact that both of them in Mortal Kombat 1 reboot as DLC characters. He also have psychological breakdowns in the series and looks breast milk. During episodes of season 6, he has vision of Madelyn Stillwell as a angel and flashing in front of him. He doesn’t show mercy to anyone, during events of season 1 went him and Queen Meave on the plane.

He is also reminded that other characters in the show, how evil and pathetic this Supe is. Homelander wants an army as well to only serve him but unsuccessful in the long run. I have to give created to actor Anthony Starr for amazing portraying of main villain of The Boys. Anthony Starr brings charisma and making the character his own. Especially, in the early season, went having monologue in the mirror and his reflection berating him I think he deserves an Oscar for that performance and become fan-favorite to comic book lovers out there.
Thoughts on Homelander
Homelander is the best part of The Boys because of his diabolical personality and put fear in those around him. We do get a backstory of him being raised in a lab. His manipulation of others gives him an edge for his agenda. In the inside, he wants to be loved by someone but has terrible way of expressing it. He also think human are inferior than Supes like Magneto. Thanks to The Boys, Homelander is nothing then washed-has been, who brainwash people to believe in him.
Also, he appear in Gen-V at one point and Project Odessa, which is experiment to create god-like superhuman in episode “Cooking Lessons” which Homelander is part of. That what season 5 was apart acquiring V1 to create immortal Supes but was foiled. He can really intimate other to their own will and put feat in them. Also, show little respect from other well-being but his own. He does face consequences for his crimes in the TV show but later cover them up.
Some people think series final was rushed and bad. Personally, I liked the finale and Homelander become president was out of nowhere. Both Butcher and Homelander dies in the show. Main protagonists started a new life and still looking for answers. Personally, I don’t think Homelander was never a good guy to begin with. Most villains from video games, anime, comics and movies think “I will become god”.
Closing
Five times out of ten will not happen and foiled by main protagonists. Henceforth, Homelander want to achieve godhood but only to be stopped by Butcher. He is a terrible father and someone who you don’t want to mess with. Well, The Boys is over, I wonder how Homelander change if people didn’t betray him.
