Playing with Friends Vs Solo – How to Enjoy Video Games
Playing with Friends vs Solo
Playing with friends vs solo is apart of gaming culture. Myself, I normally play video game alone due to having no real-life friends. Although as a streamer/content creator, I play with viewers and others. It was the best experience I ever had because I always enjoy them alone. There are plenty of video games you with friends like Split Fiction, Phasmaphobia, Mario Party and many more. When playing with friends, you will hear trash talk and banter. You might make a clip for social media for everyone to comment and like. Sure, having fun is all that matters went you play video games right. What about playing alone? That’s a different story because there are games designed to play together or solo. Benefits of playing alone is problem solving and critical thinking as well.

For example, playing Resident Evil games that requires players to solve puzzles to complete the game along with surviving. Super Mario is another one, by testing your wits to unlock secret levels and hidden stars. There are different challenges to face went playing single player games, especially JRPGs like Persona 5. You have to grind for hours to get stronger and buy new equipment for battle. More games that players can play together like Lethal Company allows users to work together. Team-based shooters require teamwork, but some can’t comprehend that. I already talk about problem with team-based shooter, if you want to check it out.
There is nothing wrong with fun
Although, there is some bad apples out there in gaming space. When you play online games with randos, you don’t know what type of player they’re. You might get some good matches in or bad ones, depending on your playstyle. I have seen some toxicity online for myself and try not to engage in meaningless drama. There is a trend that male gamers have prejudice females in another article that I wrote. Even if you’re having a bad game or good one, there is nothing wrong with having fun with others. You might get off of work or school to relax and play a video game of your choice. Drain of the sorrows and worries you have on outside world. What about playing with family other than friends?

Absolutely, you can play with family members as well. You can have a family game night or get together on the weekend and getting rid of Sunday Scaries. What about just wanting to be alone? That’s fine, if you want to complete a game without interruption from your friends and siblings. I know the feeling indeed on playing games by yourself. I enjoy me some Dragon Age Veilguard, Pac-World Re-Pac and many more games. Right now, I am on a strict budget and working a full-time job to not buy games. I am also an introvert and don’t go out as much. That’s why gaming changes my life and keeps me occupied for very long time. I don’t mind playing with others and having a great time.
Closing
Play together as Sony PlayStation slogan says, can be rewarding in some cases. We all are connected more than ever before. In COV-19, ESRB put a graph about how online gaming kept players connected during the pandemic. I remember Animal Crossing New Horizon was the go-to video game during the pandemic and helps players relax. Had a Nintendo Switch but sold it because I was not interested in it anymore. Don’t get me wrong, Switch has some games that you can play together. There is some single player games for Nintendo Switch I have played like Final Fantasy X. Other than that, I love video games and very passionate about them. Its great to play with other people who share the same interest as well.

As the gaming industry continues to grow, I will be there with it. Reach out to me if you want to play a game with me. I have a Discord server and more for direct messages. Note: I normally not active but I will get to your messages as soon as possible. I don’t mind playing with random players if I don’t have friends. There always online friends instead of real life ones. Somethimes, finding people to play with can be hard at times. Don’t worry, I will find some and have a great time of my life. In the mean time, I will online multoplayer with random players at time. Some can be toxic especially shooter games but others can be down to earth.
