Video Game Sequels That Never Happen That I Wanted
Video Game Sequels

There are some video game sequels that never happen like Half Life because due to popular demand. Some gaming sequels doesn’t see the light of day or month maybe years. In this article, I will be talking about video game sequels that I wanted but never going to happening in a million years. I might be wrong in some cases. In this article, it will be a long list (so no top 8 or 12) but just games that I wanted to see get a sequel or maybe a reboot. There are some retro games on this post as well along with present ones. Let’s get right to the thick of it shall we.
Sin Episodes – Ritual Entertainment
Sin Episodes is a first-person shooter game developed by Ritual Entertainment on May 10, 2006. This game is a sequel of SiN 1998 series along with expansion Wages of sin. Along with animated movie. Players take control of Colonel John R Blade who is the leader of HardCORPS to take down main antagonist Elexis Sinclarie. John Blade gets help from Jessica Cannon who is voiced by Jen Taylor (who does Cortana in Halo). SIN episodes is trying to rival Valve’s Half Life. It originally supposes to have nine episodes and multiplayer mode but it was scrapped. This game had potential and never see it against unfortunately, you can buy it on Steam.

Capcom vs SNK – Capcom/SNK
Capcom vs SNK is a crossover fighting game with two of the biggest franchises. I always wanted to see a Capcom vs SNK 3 but there was a artwork from E.V.O say otherwise. Anyways, what type of groove that will be in CVS3 along with characters. I know Capcom will put a lot of Street Fighter characters in the game along with SNK with The King of Fighters. Things have changes since the release of CVS2 in August 2001. Capcom vs SNK is available to play on Fightcade or buying Fighting Collection 2. I am excited to it announce someday and I will be hyped about it.

Klonoa Series – Namco Bandai Entertainment
Klonoa is a series that should kept going but I am guessing the writers couldn’t come up with a story. The first game was Klonoa: Door to Phantomile back on the original ps1 in 1997. I didn’t grow up with it but played it later on at Collage. Klonoa was a easy to play game with 2.5D backgrounds. You can solve puzzles, throw enemies at each other and voice acting. I haven’t forgotten about the music and a rumor about animated movie produced by Rob Paulson’s son. Later on, Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil was released in 2001 on PS2, It was more robust than before. I am still waiting on Klonoa 3 to be announced but we got Phantasy Reverie Series if you want to purchase it.

Zone of the Enders Series – Konami
I remember playing Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner back in PlayStation 2 era. It’s part of a demo of a game that I couldn’t remember right now. This was apart of Hideo Kojima’s finest work included Metal Gear Solid (which Snake Eater is getting remastered). I have played the first one, but disc was scratched went I brought it from GameStop, while I was in college. Later seen other streamers play it and wanted to buy the game on PlayStation 4/5. Anyways, I love controlling Jehuty and fight other mechs like Nohman. Have I forgotten about anime cutscences, speaking of that they have a series called “Z.O.E. Dolores, I”. I wanted a sequel to this game and make sure to purchase it on PC as well.
Sly Cooper – Sucker Punch Productions
Sly Cooper is a stealth game developed by Sucker Punch Productions released in September 24, 2002. You play as a thievish racoon named Sly Cooper who goes around world stealing with the help of his friend Bentely the Turtle and Murray the Hippo. The game has 3 sequels, Band of Thieves, Honor Among Thieves and Thieves in Time. I remember playing the game on demo went they was at a bar. There was supposed to be film adaptation along with Ratchet & Clank with Rainmaker Entertainment. We never heard from the project again. Now Sucker Punch re-released Sly Cooper for PlayStation 4/5. Time will tell if there will be a sequel to the game.

Sonic Heroes – Sega
Sonic Heroes is a platform game developed by Sega and released in 2003. The game allows players to take control of 3 characters with different types (speed, power and fly). This was highly successful just like Sonic Adventure series. There was rumor about being a new Sonic Heroes coming to Switch 2 but was backfired. But legacy continue to some stages appearing in Sonic Generations and other games. Team Shadow was my favorite and fighting Metal Sonic. Soundtrack was amazing as well, if there is a sequel, what characters and mechanics will it have. I highly doubt that Sega will revisit this game or remastered it. You can buy Sonic Heroes on PlayStation 2. GameCube, PC and Xbox at Amazon.
