Capcom Fighting Collection
Capcom Fighting Collection is an arcade compilation developed by company with same name. The first game was released in June 24 2022. This part of Street Fighter 35th Anniversary, which they did had collection based on that for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PC. First Capcom Fighting Collection has Darkstalkers, Cyberbots, Red Earth (Wazard) and Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo. It features training mode, single player (offline), VS and online mode featuring rollback netcode. Players can view gallery of concept art from their respective games. Listen to your favorite fighting game jams from Darkstalkers to Street Fighter. There is leaderboard, save or load states and filters to give arcade experience. Capcom Fighting Collection is not only compilation games designed by the company. There is Street Fighter Anthology, Capcom Arcade Stadium and Beat’up Em Up Bundle along with many more. First, Capcom Fighting Collection has been successful and spawned a sequel. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 which features Project Justice, Plasma Sword and Power Stone series. I was so excited that SNK and Capcom are potential partners and still working together to produce this. We might get a new Capcom vs SNK 3 in the near future at this state. Fighting Collection 2 will have the same thing that pervious compilation has such as rollback netcode and more. Sadly these games don’t have crossplay which is a huge bummer for players who use different consoles. Anyways, I can’t wait for released of the game in 2025. Make sure to preorder it on Amazon or on their website. Its all thanks to Shuhei Matsumoto for expressing that “reach as many people who may have never had the opportunity to play these games back in the day.”
Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection
That means giving modern players to play classic 2D fighting games back in 90s. Last year during Nintendo Direct 2024, Capcom drop the bombshell with Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classic trailer and a lot of people were reacting to it. Included fighting game YouTuber Maxmillan Dood, who advocated hashtag “FreeMVC” movement and had something to do with it. Even Disney, Fox and Marvel had license issues which prevents another Marvel vs Capcom game from being made. The last MVC game was infinite, and I didn’t like it because downgrade of 3. Anyways, Marvel Vs Capcom has been a phenomenal in fighting game community especially meme like “its Marvel baby” – Yipes (fighting game commentator). Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection Arcade Classic Included X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes and The Punisher arcade game.
Don’t forgot it has first Marvel vs Capcom Clash of the Super Heroes and MVC 2 (grand dad of all games). Marvel vs Capcom 2 has been my favorite so far and don’t want to play another one in the series. MVC 2 has 56 characters from different franchises fighting against each other and using super moves. Especially character select “Let me take you for a ride” that was one of the best song in the game. This is not the first time Capcom try this. In 2012, there was Marvel vs Capcom Origins and later remove due to license issues. Fast forward to 2025, fighting game fans rejoice to see the beloved crossover fighting game come back to life. I am one of them and happy Capcom recognize us as fighting game fans. I can’t wait to see this game in tournament in EVO, Combo Breaker and Frosty Faustlings 2025.
