Is Fire Force Season 3 a Good Anime To Watch?
Fire Force Season 3 Summary
Fire Force season 3 is based on action dark fantasy scfi manga developed by Atsushi Okhubo (who also known for creating Soul Eater, which is a prequel). The plot is about a boy named Shinra Kusakabe, who is a third generation pyrokentic user that wants to be a hero. Shinra is branded as a devil due to a fire incident involving his mother Mari and younger brother Sho. He is known for his devil grin, whatever he is in a stressful situation and wants to become hero. Shinra is apart of Fire Force Special Company 8 that includes Maki Oze, Iris, Obi Akitaru, Takehisa and Arthur Boyle and others. Fire Force Special Company 8 job is to extinguish flames and demon-like entities called “Infernals”.
Fire Force Special Company 9 main obstacle is Evangelist group called “White Clads” that want to restore Great Cataclysm after 250 years. White Clads are the primary antagonists of the series and its members consist of Haumea, Sho Kusakabe, Inca along with Charon. In Fire Force, we learn more about Adolla, which is another realm and doppelgangers in season 3. The show offers action, comedy and some fanservice, for example Tamaki Kotatsu is known for her “Lucky Lecher” running gag. Season 3 picks up after last story arc in season 2, when Hibana finds out more about doppelgangers. Obi has been arrested on suspicion of kidding Shinra.

Takeshia rallies Fire Force Special Company 8 to rescue Obi from White Clads and Tokyo Empire. Also, knowing that they will be branded as traitors. FFSC 8 seeks help from Joker and other firefighter companies to help. 8 company fights off against Evangelist’s Gold and Dragon, but retreats to Asakura to recover from the fight. Hibana and Scorp tells 8 company about White-Clad needing seven pillars to start Great Cataclysm again. Afterwards, one has appearance in Tokyo shores along with mechanical Infernal. Special Fire Force Companies fight against robot infernal and Shinra gets caught in Juggernaut blast, resulting in losing his memories.
Shinra’s a God?
As pillars keep rising, Haumea summons a giant eye ball and other characters like Raffles along with Benimaru former boss Shinmon Hibachi. Afterwards, doppelgangers of Benimaru, Joker, Iron and more appearance to stop them from ruining Great Cataclysm. Arthur defeat Dragon on the moon, Sho defeats Faerie and Shinra goes to confront Haumea with a giant eye. While Obi, Vulcan and others go to Amaterasu to stop Dr. Giovanni from getting the key. In Adolla, Shinra and Sho meet their mother Mari, who is an infernal form along with stopping Haumea.

Haumea uses the power of Inca and Sumire to deflect Shinra’s attacks. Shinra thought of an idea about combing souls into one. Which is called “Soul Resonance”, which later on Soul Eater uses for combat. Shinra transforms into “Bansou Shinra” and recreate a new world after falling into despair, resulting everyone disappearing into a black mist. Haumea is still in despair and Shinra assures her that make a new life. Shinra reset the world and bring everyone back from the dead including Rekka. SFFC 8 welcome Shinra back as a hero and later on have children.
Is Season 3 Good?
Fire Force season 3 is one of the best seasons I ever watch. I love how they incorporate live action segments like Sumire. When Benimaru and Hibachi fight using Japanese hakus and balance with humor. Atsushi did amazing job with artistic approach and fleshing out characters like Dragon along with Arthur (who stole the season). Personally, I wouldn’t give Arthur’s parents the benefit of doubt because they have children, while abandoning him. Yu was right about them and I agree with him. Why would you have another child and abandon the one you already have. Arthur has weird relationship with his parents indeed.
Also, Arthur plays way too many Dragon Quest games lately because he wanted to become a real knight. While going on quest to find legendary metal to make Excalibur, who turns into real character in Soul Eater. His battle with Dragon is one of the best fights in anime in my opinion. Anyways, FF season 3 has non-stop action and has your souls burning. We learn about Raffle School of Nuns and subjects of experiments. Haumea is a tragic character because she wears golden crown to read people’s thoughts. Also, FF is very religious heavy and tackles salvation, repentant and more.

We learn about seven pillars as well. Haumea (passivity), Shinra (rage), Takkun(fear) Inca (destruction), Iris (despair), Sumire (disgust), Amaterasu (madness) and Sho (apathy). These seven pillars play a role in the series and can see Adolla as well. I can see Arthur becoming a pillar because Excalibur can slice through the whole planet. I am just saying but let me know in the comments on that thought. Anyways, sadly series has ended on a good note and makes you want to re-watch Soul Eater.
Closing
I can’t stand smiling Sun and Moon because it creepy me out. I want to see a anime remake of Soul Eater in the near future and see major characters in epilogue of Fire Force. For example, Maka Albarn, Black Star, Death the Kid along with Soul Evans, I was happy to see them after 20 years.
I remember watching this anime in college but not a fan of Soul Eater Not. Soul Eater Not was not shonen-like its predecessor but more light-hearted, which was a huge shift. If you want to check out that series by all means. Fire Force season 3 is on Crunchyroll to watch online and buy it at Amazon. What do you think of Fire Force season 3 or series as a whole? Thank you for reading this blogpost and tune into the next one.
