Theme Parks Based on Cartoon, Video Games and More

Theme Park Based on Video Games

There is a theme park based on video games other than Super Nintendo World. Nintendo and Universal Studio announced a partnership back in May 2015. Although it has several delays during COVID-19 Pandemic, their first opened in Japan on March 18, 2001. Afterwards, it opened in Hollywood on February 17, 2023, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto is involved with designs of the attractions. Super Nintendo World has food, rides based on Donkey Kong, Yoshi and Super Mario (of course). I really want to go there because I love Super Mario franchise. There is a meet and greet with Mario characters throughout the park. Parkgoers can use Power-Up Bands and Universal Studios app to keep track of progress. Power-Up Bands function like Amiibo which you use in Nintendo Switch, which is a great way to interact parkgoers.

There is a tower viewer binocular based on Super Mario 3D Land, which parkgoers can look at different parts of the area including Rosalina at Comet Observatory. The park includes other characters like Pikmin, I am hoping for Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda and many more. There more many locations in the near future like Singapore, Florida and more. I saw videos online of Super Nintendo World and I was very excited to go but due to budget issues. There is a defunct park based on Pokemon called “PokePark” In Japan and Taiwan. Both locations were operational and closed between March 2005 -September 2006. As of now, there was no video game theme parks but others like cartoons and movies. You know that Universal Studios has a lot of rides based on tv shows and more.

Theme Park based on Cartoon

I remember going to Universal Studios in Orlando Florida back in mid 2000s on a family vacation. There were couple rides I been on like Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast, which features Rugrats, Hey Arnold, The Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob SquarePants. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man which your favorite wall-crawler faces off against Sinister Syndicate (consist of Doctor Octopus, Scream, Electro Hydo-Man and Hobgoblin). Along with Back to the Future: The Ride where you have to stop Biff Tannen just like Nicktoon and The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. That’s rides I remember as a kid but there are others like Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Star Wars, King Kong and many more. feel free to research the rest on your own because Universal Studios partnered with Marvel and other properties.

While there are Six Flags with Warner Bros properties like DC Comics and Looney Tunes. There was a rumor that Six Flag Great Adventure is closing down soon. I have memories going to Tea-Cup rides and eating with my family. Also, I have gotten lost, and it was my fault because I was busy at arcades. I don’t want to get into that but there were rides like Joker’s Jinx and many more DC rides. I haven’t been to Six Flags American in years. I don’t know if I will ever go back because Super Nintendo World is what I got my eye on. Six Flags had Fright Fest during Halloween season. The park will be missed, and I won’t forget those mascots. Note: Six Flag was founded on July,1 ,1974 and remember those commercials to get kids to beg their parents to bring them there.

Other Theme Parks

There is Sesame Place where you meet characters from Sesame Street but in July 2022. A mascot Rosita ignored two African American children and this cause outrage on social media. Personally, I wouldn’t go back to Sesame Place after that incident, trust me. Disney World is very huge than any theme park out there. Every kid wants to go to Walt Disney World, there is a waterpark and everything that creates memories with magical moments. Walt Disney changes so much in years and I know Marvel/Star Wars Attractions are in that park due to partnership. There are notable rides such as It’s a Small World, Haunted Mansion and many more. One day, I will go to Disney World in the near future. Before I end this blogpost and give my two cents about Amusement Park.

There is Harry Potter in Universal Studios for fans of the franchise. I am not a fan of Harry Potter, but fans will have to check it out. Sorry I don’t know about theme park entirely, you can let me know in the comments. Always that’s all I have on theme parks based on video games, cartoons and more. As kid, I went to waterparks and spent time with family. Scared of roller coasters and animals as well. While as an adult, I really don’t have time for them like I am used to. Might go to carnivals to eat funnel cakes and go on rides like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. But there is nothing wrong with having fun and getting out once in a while. While at theme parks, you can get those wacky self-portraits and walk in an area filled with crowed people.

Closing

After a long day, you go home and tell your friends about it. There is a video game called “Theme Park” released in June 1994 developed by Bullfrog Productions. It’s been a while since I have played and it’s one of the first simulation games I played during MS-DOS days. Also, Theme Hospital is very similar to Two Point Hospital. I have to play Two Point Series in the near future. Anywho, there are movies based on Amusement Park like Wonder Park that’s released on March 15, 2019. I haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for. If you want to plan your trip to these amusement parks for you and your family, Viewtiful Joe announcer also say, “Just go for it”. Let me know in the comments you have been to any Amusement Park? Thank you for reading my blogpost and see you in the next one.
