Top 5 Fandom Crossovers from Comics, Anime and More
Fandom Crossovers
Fandom crossovers happen went two franchises appearance together in a storyline or episode of a show. For example, DC comics Batman and Superman because these two heroes are in the same company. In video games, there is Super Smash Bros, where Nintendo characters fight each other and become the most popular game. Television is Family Guy and The Simpson have a crossover episode called “The Simpson Guy”.

Along with Kamen Rider and Pretty Cure have crossover films as well. If you’re reading books, there is Arsène Lupin versus Sherlock Holmes. For movie goers, there is King Kong vs Godzilla, two of the most popular giant monsters in history. In this article, I will be counting down 5 fandom crossovers from comic, anime and more. Let’s start off with He-Man and Thundercats comic shall we.
5. He-Man/Thundercats
H-Men/Thundercats comic book crossover was released on October 5, 2016 – March 15, 2017. This is apart of DC Comics ongoing 6-issue series. Two of the most iconic 80s cartoons He-Man Masters of the Universe and Thundercats teaming up against their perspective villains. The plot is after Mumm-Ra defeated by Lion-O, Ancient Spirits of Evil found the way to defeat Thundercats by stealing He-Man’s Power Sword. While Eternia, Prince Adam has a fight with King Randor.

Mumm-ra tears a rift through space through Eternia and Third Earth. He-Man and Lion-O must work together to stop Mumm-Ra along with Skeletor and bring two worlds back together. This should be animated or made to a video game (well mugen did that already). I grew up with Thundercats and 2002 He-Man Master of the Universe tv show. This is every 80s and 90s kids dream to see these properties come together. Feel free to buy the comic along with dvds on Amazon.
4. The Flintstones and The Jetsons
Two iconic Hanna-Barbera icons crossover in one movie. The Flintstones is a family sitcom about day and life of Fred Flintstone and his family. Flintstone is in the stone ages, while The Jetsons are in the future. Speaking of Jetson has a similar premise than The Flintstones. One movie change it all called The Jetson Meets the Flintstones. In the movie, each family is adjusted to past and future. For example, The Jetsons are not used to Stone Age while The Flintstones gets used to future technology. In the film, you meet your favorite characters from perspective franchises like Mr. Slate and Cogswell. Thanks to Elroy time machine, these characters meet for the first time.

I remember watching some of it back during childhood. The Flintstones was released in September 30, 1960, while The Jetsons was aired November 15, 1987. Later on, both Flintstones and Jetsons tag team with WWE and was featured in Universal Studios ride, The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera but sadly closed on October 20, 2002. It is great to two animated family go together in a wild adventure.
3. Jimmy Neutron and The Fairly Oddparents
The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius and Fairly Oddparents both aired on Nickelodeon in 2000s. There is a crossover episode called “The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour”, which sets during fourth and fifth season of both shows. The plot is about both Jimmy and Timmy Turner get stuck in each other worlds. Two main protagonists must find a way to get home and stop their perspective villains like Mr. Crocker along with Professor Calamitous. It was great seeing both characters from Jimmy Neutron and The Fairly Oddparent interacting with each other.

Along with 2D and 3D mesh together, so perfectly and voice actors speaking their lines. It doesn’t stop there; Nick has more crossovers in form of video games. Such as Nicktoons Unite, Nickeldeon All-Star Bawl 2 and Kart Racers 3 Slime Speedway along with a whole lot of them. I bet this episode had higher ratings and every 2000s kid fever dream. Buy Jimmy Neutron and The Fairly Oddparents on Dvd at Amazon. Note: There is a possible sequel to Jimmy Neutron in the works, but I don’t know it will be good.
2. Naruto, One Piece and Dragon Ball
Yes folks, the big three anime has a crossover video game called Battle Stadium D.O.N. Personally, this game is only in Japan and released on July 20, 2006. Battle Stadium was on Nintendo GameCube and PlayStation 2, the game is mainly inspired by Super Smash Bros. You have Dragon Ball, Naruto and One Piece characters duking it out to see who is the strongest. But this is only game that these IPs crossover in video games or manga. There is Jump Force, One Piece Pirate Colosseum and Dragon Ball Z Extreme Butoden which both crossover with each other.

Don’t forget Fortnite has Dragon Ball and Naruto skins. Yet don’t get to see One Piece skin yet but a future season of the Fortnite soon. One Piece did collab with NBA and other sports companies. Dragon Ball had a Reese puffs cereal collaboration as well. The big three anime is no stranger to crossing over with each other. As long there are the faces of Weekly Shonen Jump than future big three will replace them soon.
1. Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees
Two horror antagonists face off against each other in 2003 movie. I have only seen commercial trailer of the movie but watch other content creators review it. But I have seen A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th movies so far. If you don’t know who these slashers are from, Freddy Krueger is main antagonist of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Jason Voorhees is the main villain from Friday the 13th. Freddy haunts victims in the dream world and also causes deaths in real world. Jason goes around killing victims due to him being drown as a child.

These two have been featured in a comic featuring Ash Williams from Evil Dead. Jason and Freddy appear as dlc characters in Mortal Kombat. While Jason Voorhees in Multiversus before being shut down on May 27, 2023. I am not much horror movie fanatic but having two slasher pits against each other is bloody amazing. Forgot one more thing that both of them are in Dead by Daylight as killers. Make sure you buy both movies along and more.
Closing
That’s all the crossover I love but there are some honorable mentions like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Naruto. There is Straight Otta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog and G.I Joe and The Transformers (which is going out with a movie soon). I haven’t forgotten Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney along with Kingdom Hearts. There are a lot of crossovers from every medium out there. Let me know what crossovers come to your mind in the comments. Thank you for reading this and tune into the next blog post from yours truly.
