Is it Worth Going to Kai Cenat’s Streamer University
What is Streamer University?
Streamer University is created by Kai Cenat in 2025, mainly, it’s a boot-camp style school setting for content creators live/streamers. Kai Cenat is the most popular American streamer and though of an idea to rent out university for the weekend to help content creator with their careers. He wants to act as a dean/principle in Streamer University and other creators act as professors/instructors. Kai Cenat is the most watched streamer on Twitch with 20.5 million followers. Streamer University is about how to become successful content creators in the entertainment industry. Kai chose The University of Akron, Ohio in 2025, while 2026, Streaming University was held in Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
During Kai Cenat stream, he announced that talking a break from streaming to start Streamer University and released a trailer reminiscent of Harry Potter. Cenat created a website that content creators/streamers in enrolling in Streamer University. Social media was flooded with creators that want to partake in university. Kai and the team the best creators to enroll during his live stream. In 2025, the university has 120 students and 17 professors who are established creators themselves. In Streamer University, who have roommates, curfew, activities and courses.
Also, award ceremony for best roommate, MVP, worst behavior and more, the event ended on May 25, 2005. In 2026, during Mafiathon, Kai wanted streaming university to come back. Auctions were held online and offline (Los Angeles (June 12) and Atlanta (June 14)), there was some controversy and had to cancelled auctions. After all that commotion, again Kai announced who was going to Streamer University. For example, Lacy, 2XRrKai, Rayasianboy, Fanum and many more. As for professors, Valkyrae, Ludwing, Agent00, Cinna, Adapt and more. The event is live streamed on Twitch only but you can watch Vods on YouTube to get an idea.
My Thoughts on Streaming University
I wanted to join Streaming University in 2025, but I didn’t get in unfortunately (see video below). Some critics say that Streaming University is very toxic and unprofessional at best and also leads to lawsuits from Night Media. Even Netflix and Amazon wanted the streaming rights but Kai Cenat rejected the offer. In June 21, 2026, I started watching Poudii, Agent00 and Ludwig classes, I found them very interesting. Some topics, I already know and familiarize as content creator. Lacy and other content creators always disturbed the classes. Also, watch Duke Dennis coaching dodgeball and other sports. There was a talent show where Lizzo and T-Pain were judges. I really like talent shows and should out to the performance that sing their hearts out.
It was great to see talent from younger generation and there is a drama club as well. I am hoping to watch more of these festivities later on. Kai Cenat always come to classes to monitor and keep everything in order. Of course, there will be some drama between students because event promotes toxic behavior. Students have their phones out and live streaming course, which professor recommended. Speaking of classes, there is “how to adapt as a content creator”, “how to leverage YouTube and Twitch to get exposure”. Also, talking about getting brand deals and how model work, learn that luck in creative space.
Students ask questions on how to get exposure on social media. Personally, I think it’s a genius move from Kai Cenat and commend him for these efforts. Souja Boy wanted to do a Rapper University but don’t know if he will go through it. During The Streamer Awards, the event won “Best Streamer Event”, After hearing from other creators not getting accepted nor trash-talking about it. There are some positive outcome that Kai helped them out getting more followers and platform to excel their career. I understand some small streamers felt salty not getting selected and take it out on Kai. Is it worth going to Streaming University?
Worth it or Not
I would say this, if you want to level up your content creator/streaming journey. Feel free to join but you really don’t need it. There are tutorials online that tell you ins and outs of being content creator/streamer. If you feel rejected and there is always another opportunity that comes knocking. I understand some people dislike Kai Canet and using this as way to promote himself more. My advice is to look at your competition and see how they format their videos, thumbnails along with talking points. Also, learning about SEO, taxes, brands and what you say on social media can hurt your reputation. Look content creation/streaming is not easy feat and takes longer depending on your journey.
It’s okay to be jealous of someone that more entertaining and informative than you. Instead of getting overzealous, try to emulate that creator and see what works for them. 38% of the formula may not work for you but put your own spin on it. Again, you really don’t need a university to become successful creator. You can always join Discord servers, be recurring viewers on someone’s live stream or engage in their social media posts. There might be a potential future collab in the future. Note: This is not a get-rich quick scheme nor is it successful overnight. Some people do content creating/streaming as a hobby with full time job.
While some wanted to become full-time because freedom. Myself, I thought out start something similar what Kai had does. I would make it virtual instead of in-person because creators live in different states and countries. Also, number one rule is kindness and look out for one other like Salieri family from Mafia. It will empower creators from different race, genders and orientations, also every niche is available to partake. I will have activities, courses and make everyone smile at the same time. That’s in the near future and have to connect with brand and creators to make that happen.

I would say that you don’t need no school to become better. We can make a way for new generation of content creators/streaming alike. It’s very nostalgia went I gone to college but in twisted way.
