X-Men 97 Season 3 Main Villain?
X-Men 97 season 3 will have to pick up after season two went Apocalypse was defeated by Rogue. Also, Nightcrawler sacrifices himself for Rogue to save Gambit from Apocalypse. First season was Mr. Sinister and Bastion, which was a great start to the series. Who will be the main villain in season 3? Will it be William Stryker, Graydon Creed or Onslaught, who knows but there might be others X-Men villains to choose from like Mastermind, Trevor Fitzroy and Sebastian Shaw. Note: I am not much of a comic book nerd and have little know about their storylines. Original X-Men 92, the tv show adapted comic book stories and split into parts different of episodes.
Such as “Days of Future Past”, “The Dark Phoniex Saga” and “Phalanx Covenant” comic book storylines. While X-Men 97 adapted has “Operation: Zero Tolerance”, “Ages of Apocalypse” and “Fatal Attractions” story arcs. Producers of X-Men 97 will have to research and scape some comic books to see what fits season 3. There is some storylines like Hellfire Gala, where X-Men goes to a party hosted by Emma Frost and learn about Krakoa. Emma Frost would do the same thing as Magento’s Genosha and Graydon Creed along with Valerie Cooper would disrupt it.
That would be a great episode, what about The Hunt for Xavier story arc. Graydon Greed would order Valerie Cooper and X-Factor to arrest Professor Xaiver for a crime. X-Men will have to find him after Onslaught episode story arc. That would be an epic two-part episode in the middle of the series. Also, Extermination story arc where a mob of anti-mutant protesters spawn in the X-Mansion by Graydon Greed. Kitty Pryde will have to introduce Bloodstorm. That would step up season three but there have to be changes to the storyline and characters. I am pretty sure, writers will have to figure things out.
What Will Happen in Season 3?
Senate Robert Kelly will have a Mutant Registration Act and goes back behind Graydon Greed. Also, this is based on The Fall of the Mutants (Uncanny X-Men) storyline. Where Mystique leads a group of villains called Freedom Force and disguises as Valarie Cooper. She will order Charlie Xavier and the X-Men to be arrested, if didn’t comply with Mutant Registration Act. From the Ashes can be two parter episodes has well, during Krakoa story arc. There is a lot of X-Men storylines to chose from in Marvel vault. I want to see X-Men and crossover with other Marvel heroes like Spiderman. We already say Black Widow and Captain America make an appearance.
Thor, Hulk and other Marvel villains like Dr. Doom should make cameo or crossover episodes. Sooner or later, there might be Avengers vs X-Men crossover episodes in the making. Therefore, it can open doors to other Marvel heroes has a tv show similar to X-Men 97 but we have Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man already. Hopefully Kevin Feige will think about that for being back old 90s Marvel Super Heroes tv show days. Speaking of that, went X-Men 97 was announced March 20,2024 after my birthday. I was excited for 90s X-Men tv show to come back to the airwaves again. Last episode of 1992 X-Men: The Animated Series was September 20, 1997, went Professor Xavier goes to Shir’ar Empire to get treated.
X-Men 97 episode 1 “To Me, My X-Men” picks up went last episode “Graduation Day” left off went Magneto took over for Professor Xavier as leader of the group. Animation which is know by Studio Mir who known for The Boondocks, Devil May Cry, Mortal Kombat Legends along with My Adventures with Superman. They did amazing job with recreating 90s aesthetics using VHS-inspired effect. Along with soundtrack done by The Newton Brothers who created Ron Wasserman iconic theme which was originally owned by Haim Saban. The Newton Brothers secure the rights and created a updated version of the intro song with modern twisted.

X-Men 97 was one of the most highly rated Marvel tv series to date and reach 4 million views worldwide for animated show. Critic like Rotten Tomato give it 99%-100% rating calling it faithful to its predecessor and “x-cellent”. Personally, Beau Demayo and the producers did a fantastic job for bringing it back for new generation of audience. I remember watching this on FoxKids and hearing that opening theme. You are in for a threat went listening to the opening and had been X-Men fan ever seen. I have watched Fox live action movie, video games and even brought some comics along with going to AfterParty called Mutant Mayhem based on it.
Producers did stated that there will be season 3 and 4 planned due to success of the past ones. We will have to watch 2027 and 2028 for new episodes of the series. I am pumped for it because some episodes broke like Apocalypse kills Magneto. There is small number of episodes like 10 or 9, I am guessing because storylines are adapting. Anyways, I can’t wait for s3 of X-Men 97 and what will their adventure would lead next. X-Men 97 is available now to watch on Disney Plus and what is your thoughts on season 3.
