Nikke Goddess of Victory – Is This Gacha Any Good

What is Nikke Goddess of Victory?

Nikke Goddess of Victory is a third-person shooter gacha developed by Shift Up (created who brought you Stellar Blade) and Level Infinite handles publishing. Note: There is a Stellar Blade collab with Goddess of Victory Nikke. The plot is set in post-apocalyptic Japan, where city is overrun by machine called Raptures. A group of artificial humanoid soldiers called Nikkes, who armed with weapons to defend against Rapture threat. Nikke is a special gacha game, where you can recruit characters and enhance them to become stronger. Of course, its free-to-play just like any other anime gacha games Genshin Impact, Umamusume Pretty Derby and more, which were popular at the time.

I first caught wind of this game on social media and image boards like Gelbooru. There were some content creators cosplay as the female characters and was curious about the series. In June 2026, I started with my first playthrough and downloaded it on PC (because it was not on Steam). Nikke Goddess of Victory has different classes and elements of each character characters. There are up to 5 Nikkes on the screen, which players can switch between them at will. In gameplay, there are three burst phases, which can offer buffs based on Nikke’s abilities. Goddess of Victory Nikke has a light-gun shooter mechanic similar to Time Crisis.

Nikkes can cover and shoot along with reload and once their health is down, its game over or went timer runs out. During story missions, each stage has power counter, if you Nikke excel the Raptures than it will turn blue. If enemy is too power, the counter will turn red and it’s time to shop, upgrade or recruit Nikkes. While upgrading your Nikke, you can equip gear, raise their level, abilities and limit breaks. Also, you can go spend time with Nikke, give them gifts and advise them on how to do better. Throughout the course of the game, there are events going on like Summer, exploring character’s backstory like Syuen and crossovers.

More Nikke Content?

Nikke Goddess of Victory has a lot of content like a Rhythm based game just like Hatsune Miku and Love Live. Towers, which you can fight Raptures for materials to upgrade Nikkes. Boss rushes like game modes which you fight Raptures who is more powerful than you. PvP or PvE arena, which you can fight offline or online with your Nikkes. There is training, outpost, which is very similar to Arknight Endfield and many more. At first, it may seem overwhelming for first time players like me. When you dive in more into the game, it may be natural because Shift Up pack so many things into this game. Anyways, went playing through story chapters, you can find relics went your cursor blinks orange, there is EX stage which offers huge rewards. After end of the chapter, there is a boss fight to progress the main storyline.

You can unlock and backtrack chapters to complete side quests to earn rewards as well. For example, banners, music, menu screen animations and so much more that Goddess of Victory Nikke has in store. The game does have a lot of fanservice with it predominate female cast but there are some male characters as well. Nikke’s animation is very smooth and a pleasure to look at visually. In logging into the game, you are already completing daily missions along with Battle Pass as well. Nikke Goddess of Victory can be a grind just like any other free to play gacha game on the market today. There is still a community around and still streamed on Twitch along content on YouTube.

For example, tier list to see who the best team is to fight against Raptures. Also, best waifu or what is the perfect build for your Nikke. Nikke has all sorts of anime female archtypes like engineer (Elegg), scientist, pop idol and many more. Some people argue that it’s pay-to-win(f2p), I don’t think so because they do have in-game ads, if players want to buy items, which is very optional. Speaking of ads, that’s one of my main issues with the game and a huge turn off for me. Also, there is start up loading content just like Dragon Ball Gekishima Squadra, which I have to wait for a long time to start up. In my opinion, I hated that but overall, I found myself enjoying Nikke for what it is.

Closing

Goddess of Victory Nikke is one of those fanservice games like Dead or Alive, Brown Dust, Snowbreak Containment and Blue Achieve. I am thinking about doing top 5 anime fanservice games in the near future. Anyways, Nikke Goddess of Victory is a game for beginners and if you like chick-with guns type game. I would recommend playing this and downloading it on Android, PC and IOS on their website. Nikke is no coming to console but I might be wrong about that. Hopefully, I will play more of Nikke in the near future and hope they can don’t get shut down.
